London

Welcome to London

Ice Skating

Although outdoor ice rinks are fairly new to the city, they are extremely popular with Londoners. This means that visitors can now skate in several magnificent locations such as the Tower of London’s historic grounds and the Natural History Museum.

Biking

Not known as a friendly city for cyclists, London’s mayor has started to change things to promote cycling in the city. This led to the launch of an organization renting out public bikes in 2010; now frequently sighted on London’s streets, the “Boris Bikes” can be rented for 30 minutes or more. You’ll find a number of bike paths throughout the city’s numerous parts, but Richmond Park is definitely the best. For a scenic city view, take the path west from Westminster as you cycle beside the Thames. However, be careful on this path as you will have to cross into main roads at a number of points due to the path’s irregularity.

Horse riding

Hyde Park Stables welcomes riders of all levels and ages with semi-private lessons available from £64 per hour and group rides from £59 per hour. The grounds cover 5 miles of bridleways and the Royal Park is an ideal location for horse riding.
