Nature Tourism is based on the natural attractions of a geographical area. It involves visiting fragile, pristine, and relatively undisturbed natural areas. Nature tourism is the alternative to standard commercial tourism. It means responsible travel to natural areas, conserving the environment, and improving the well-being of the local people.

Nature-based tourism enables the local communities to conserve wildlife habitats upon which the industry depends. It promotes conservation by increasing the value on natural areas. As nature tourism becomes more important to the local economy, communities have additional incentives to conserve their remaining natural areas for the lovers of nature.

Examples of nature tourism include birdwatching, photography, stargazing, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, and visiting parks. These experiential tourists are interested in a diversity of natural and cultural resources. They want what is real, and they want to be immersed in a rich natural, cultural experience.

Most of us live monotonous days following a single routine of commuting to work, spending the day in the office and going home and attempting to relax before repeating it all over again the following day. For this reason, when vacation time finally comes around, we want to find ourselves far from the hustle and bustle of daily life. 

With experiences like hiking into the depths of the Grand Canyon, kayaking next to the glaciers of Antarctica, watching lions cross the Serengeti and swimming with dolphins off the coast of Australia, you won’t yearn to return to your desk!

8. Iguassu Falls

Welcome to Niagara Falls, the second largest waterfall in the world. With incredibly beautiful views the falls give you access to a first-hand experience of the great tropical rainforests. When flying into the small city of Iguassu, you can see sprays of water mysteriously rising from the ground.

The falls are located within the tropical rainforest. They border both Argentina and Brazil. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s no surprise that this is a necessary travel destination for all nature lovers.

9. Australia

The home to Kangaroos, koalas, and wallabies. It is the only continent where you can see the amazing creatures. With diverse rainforests, the infamous outback, and the astounding Great Barrier Reef, Australia offers a lovely combination of nature and wildlife. 10. Amazon Rainforest
