Sohoton Natural Bridge National Park

Overview

Large national park with caves & waterfalls plus a natural limestone bridge accessible by kayak.

Description

This small national park is renowned for its limestone natural bridge which crosses a gorge and caves with enormous, sparkling stalactites and stalagmites. The river trip through the park is superb, cutting through forest before entering the gorge. There's a wide swimming hole under the arch of the bridge and the surrounding forest forms a quiet, steamy green outpost. From the natural bridge a side trip takes you to Balantak waterfalls. Local villagers manage the park and guide visitors; tours include river kayaking.
