Overview

Zrmanja is a river in southern Lika and northern Dalmatia, Croatia. It is 69 km long and its basin covers an area of 907 km². It was known to the ancient Romans as Tedanius.

Weekend Zrmanja River Trip is designed for flexible, energetic people who like to be active and have a spirit of adventure and a positive attitude. Our daily program is a combination of kayaking, swimming and exploring for river lovers and those who want to be outdoors in nature for a couple of days.



Breathtaking beauty merged with activities is something worth the experience. Indulge yourself for the weekend and feel like a little scout again. Zrmanja and Krupa are among the most beautiful rivers in Europe: perfectly clear warm water, spectacular canyon with magnificent waterfall. They are easy and safe enough for beginner canoeists but their scenery makes them also very exciting. The trip begins in Kastel Zegarski, only one hour drive from Zadar. First night you will spend in campsite in Kaštel Žegarski. Tomorrow morning you will begin your river trip. After first hour of paddling down easy rapids you will – if time and weather permit – visit beautiful Kupa waterfalls and swim under them. The next day we finish up in Novigrad Sea, so it makes a great opportunity to combine river and sea kayaking in one trip.
