Overview
Pohang is a city in the province of North Gyeongsang, South Korea, and a main seaport in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region. The built-up area of Pohang is located on the alluvium of the mouth of the Hyeongsan River.
Description
Pohang (포항) is mainly known for being home to the world’s second-largest steel plant, Posco (Pohang Iron and Steel Company), which mires views from its beach. Most people pass through here on the way to the island of Ulleungdo or as a base to visit Bogyeong-sa, but don't linger.
