Overview
Pavón is a town in Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica. The town is located near the mouth of the Golfo Dulce. It is around 15 km south of Playa Zancudo. The town is renowned as a surfer's haven with some of the best waves in the world.
Description
Sportfishing, hiking, bird watching, wildlife observation, and yoga are also popular. Pavones is a legendary destination for surfers the world over. As this is Costa Rica’s southernmost point, you’ll need to work hard to get down here. However, the journey is an adventure in its own right, especially since the best months for surfing coincide with the rainy season.
