Overview
Lake Inari is the largest lake in Sápmi and the third-largest lake in Finland. It is located in the northern part of Lapland, north of the Arctic Circle. The lake is 117–119 metres above sea level, and is regulated at Kaitakoski power plant in Russia

The tiny village of Inari (Sámi: Anár) is Finland's Sámi capital and the ideal starting point to immerse yourself in Sámi culture. Home to the wonderful Siida museum and Sajos (cultural centre and seat of the Finnish Sámi parliament), it also has a string of superb handicrafts shops and it's a great base for forays into Lemmenjoki National Park and the Kevo Strict Nature Reserve.
