Overview
Klitmøller is a Danish town in Thisted Municipality, the North Denmark Region. Klitmøller has a population of 1,022. The town is located 11 km southwest of Hanstholm and 18 km northwest of Thisted.
Description
Klitmøller’s windy ways and curving waves have transformed the small fishing village into one of Europe’s premier surfing destinations, known colloquially as ‘Cold Hawaii’. It’s a small holiday settlement of summer houses and fisherfolk, where wetsuit-clad surfers roam the streets and outdoorsy folk get around on bikes, seemingly oblivious to the cracking wind.
