Overview

Folgefonna is a collective term for three plateau glaciers in the Hardanger region of Vestland county, Norway. They are located on the Folgefonna peninsula in the municipalities of Ullensvang, Kvinnherad, and Etne.

Description

The glacier is located in the county of Hordaland and is one of the southernmost glaciers in Norway. Summer skiing has been a popular activity here for the past 20 years, and the ski-lift is mounted directly on the glacier. From freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing trails to a snowboarding park and snowshoe hikes, there’s plenty to keep you busy at Folgefonna ski resort.
