Cherangani Hills

Overview

The Cherangany Hills are a range of hills in the western highlands of Kenya. The hills are one of Kenya's five main forests and catchment areas. The hills reach 3,365 m at Cheptoket Peak in the north-central section.

Description

The Cherangani Hills, covered in thick forest, is actually the fourth-highest mountain range in Kenya. There are a plethora of hiking options and several of them are quite gentle slopes through open farmland and sheltered valleys. Many people consider these intensely farmed and deeply forested hills to be one of the most beautiful corners of the country.
