Overview

The Anti-Taurus Mountains are a mountain range in southern and eastern Turkey, curving northeast from the Taurus Mountains. The tallest mountain in the range is Mount Erciyes, 12,851 feet high.

Description

About 156 km (97 miles) south of Ürgüp, a 3-hour drive in the Aladağ mountains (a continuation of Turkey’s Bolkar range) southeast of Niğde is Aladağlar National Park (Aladağlar Milli Parkı; map), which contains the impressive Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls and possibilities for hiking and river rafting on the lively Zamanti Nehri.
