Overview

The Pacuare River, or the Río Pacuare, flows approximately 108 kilometers to the Caribbean. It is a popular location for white water rafting, whitewater kayaking, and riverboarding.

Description

Rafting on the Pacuare River – rated one of the top rivers in the world – is an amazing Costa Rica day trip. You’ll raft through the incredible rainforest on 19 miles of Class III-IV whitewater. Cascading waterfalls, lush forest, exotic plants, birds and other animals, and exciting rapids make this a tropical adventure packed with rich experiences that you’ll remember forever.



We will transport you from your San Jose area hotel in our private, comfortable, air-conditioned bus to the Rios Tropicales Operations Center, where you’ll enjoy our sumptuous, traditional Costa Rican breakfast buffet with Doña Gloria’s famous specialty omelets. After breakfast and changing into rafting gear, we will drive to our private rafting put-in on the banks of the Pacuare River.
