Ghetto tourism is the tours in ghettos. This ‘urban tourism’ is related to the historic landmarks and neighborhoods, and to the streetscape in music. It encompasses the travel to areas which are popular either directly or indirectly by relation to popular artists. Examples of such sites are the 8 Mile road in Detroit which is famous after being showcased in Eminem’s movie 8 Mile, Crenshaw Boulevard situated in South Central Los Angeles which inspired the current musical influence, the slums of Rio and also the Jane-Finch area in Toronto.

DMZ stands for demilitarized zone, and it's the no-man's land border between North and South Korea. Heavily guarded and mined, the strange area can be visited, but only on an official, guided tour (the USO operates a popular one).
